Job Description - Country Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Country Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Specialist manages the replenishment of local goods for a country distribution center. Responsibilities include analyzing inventory levels, generating purchase orders, managing replenishment parameters, implementing supply parameters, updating KPIs, collaborating with suppliers, and improving tools and processes. Additionally, the position holder ensures adherence to logistics procedures and any specific tasks assigned by the direct manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order local goods from the supplier and replenish the Country Distribution Center, with the objective of having goods ready to fulfill needs coming from the Operations in the assigned country
  • Execute daily tasks to ensure the correct weekly ordering cycle
  • Calculate replenishment based on the guidelines and logistics parameters provided by the DC Managers. Analyze in-transit and on-hand inventory levels and inform PO Management and DCs
  • Run proposals, review them, and implement corrections to avoid out-of-stock situations if necessary
  • Generate Purchase Orders fulfilling the guidelines provided by the DC Manager and the agreement with the suppliers, including full truckloads, full pallets, full cases, and reordering frequencies, and minimum purchase value
  • Manage key replenishment parameters to ensure that the reality of each supplier is properly represented. Analyze forecasts and, when necessary, flag inconsistencies
  • Follow up on purchases (Orders Tester, Tasting & GWP)
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining supply parameters in the system
  • Review and, if necessary, update supply parameters on a monthly basis

KPIs follow-up

  • Analyze and follow up on main Planning and Purchasing KPIs (Line Fill Rate, Lead Time Report)
  • Suggest corrective actions to change negative trends in the KPIs

Collaborative Plan

  • Share forecasts, KPIs, and other information with suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier meetings to review supplier performance. Maintain a cooperative relationship with suppliers to improve the supply chain

General

  • Improve the existing tools used.
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to standard policies and procedures of the Logistics Community.
  • Specific responsibilities as required by the direct manager

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Min. 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and order management functions
  • Analytical skills and high attention to details
  • Highly proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in supply and demand planning, forecasting, and collaborating with international suppliers
