We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the financial operations of both our boating company and retail store. You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, from accounts payable and receivable to monthly reports and financial analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and growth of our company.
Responsibilities:
Boating Operations:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for boat sales, service, spare parts..
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain meticulous financial records.
- Monitor inventory levels for boat parts and supplies for the After Sale division and place purchase orders.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the boating division.
- Manage the B2B boating Payable and receivable
Retail Store:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for retail sales and inventory.
- Point-of-sale system operations and transaction reconciliation.
- Handle cash deposits and ensure proper financial record keeping.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Generate insightful sales reports and perform data analysis.
General Accounting:
- Prepare monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, payroll).
- Analyze financial data and identify trends for management reporting.
- Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Daily Accounting Tasks , payable and receivable from suppliers / Clients and B2B clients
- Assist with external audits and financial review.
- Provides internal financial information and analysis to help managers make informed decisions.
- Tasks include budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a retail or Trading industry.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in accounting software - Odoo experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to anticipate monthly budgeting and cost management.
