Job Description - General Accountant with Retail / Trading Experience

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee the financial operations of both our boating company and retail store. You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, from accounts payable and receivable to monthly reports and financial analysis. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and growth of our company.

Responsibilities:

Boating Operations:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable for boat sales, service, spare parts..
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain meticulous financial records.
  • Monitor inventory levels for boat parts and supplies for the After Sale division and place purchase orders.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the boating division.
  • Manage the B2B boating Payable and receivable

Retail Store:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable for retail sales and inventory.
  • Point-of-sale system operations and transaction reconciliation.
  • Handle cash deposits and ensure proper financial record keeping.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Generate insightful sales reports and perform data analysis.

General Accounting:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, payroll).
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends for management reporting.
  • Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Daily Accounting Tasks , payable and receivable from suppliers / Clients and B2B clients
  • Assist with external audits and financial review.
  • Provides internal financial information and analysis to help managers make informed decisions.
  • Tasks include budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a retail or Trading industry.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in accounting software - Odoo experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to anticipate monthly budgeting and cost management.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
