Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager **UAE Nationals ONLY**

Job purpose:

The Operational Excellence team is composed of profiles combining process reengineering, change and project management skills, playing an instrumental role between business and technology and digital teams to enable the company’s transformation.

The OpEx Manager serve as a change agent to help the company achieve its operational excellence goals. The role will drive initiatives to optimize business processes and adoption (change management) as part of GIG Gulf’s operational excellence and transformation programs. The job holder will work with operational areas of the business to deliver effective process redesign as well as drive efficiency, quality and best practice, ensuring stakeholders see the benefit and value of driving forward a program of change and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review current processes; gather and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within company’s operations.
  • Develop new processes to streamline operations and improve customer service.
  • Promote simplification across the organization.
  • Lead Change Management in complex projects/environments.
  • Actively promote sharing of best practices within the Company.
  • Coordinate with other departments within the organization to ensure successful implementation of operational excellence initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to communicate progress of initiatives; monitor and report on benefits realization.

Operational & technical responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement/simplification projects and deployment of lean management techniques for the business across the Region (UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar). Proactively identify and submit optimization/enhancement initiatives, measure success based on predefined KPIs agreed with ExCom.
  • Influence the business transformation roadmap and delivery plan, promoting a simplification of the processes/solutions and facilitating an iterative approach delivering the business priorities early.
  • Participates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate.

Role Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in process reengineering and simplification.
  • Proven track record of successful projects, measured by tangible KPIs post-implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills: capacity to drive discussions/meetings/workshops with various populations and profiles (business and technology).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills:
  • works well within and across teams with different priorities and effectively facilitates work and understanding between them.
  • awareness of organizational, cultural group and/or interpersonal dynamics through attentive listening and ability to read the environment and act accordingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Documentation: capacity to formalize information and data clearly (from complex problem analysis to executive summary presentations).

Desirable:

  • Experience in the insurance industry
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt)
  • PMP/PMI certification
