Research Engineer

Gentis Solutions is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. This contract position is with one of our Fortune 50 clients interested in full-time flex/remote consultants. Requirements

1. Knowledge of process improvement tools & techniques such as Six Sigma
2. Proficient in and advanced knowledge SQL, R, PowerBI
3. Financial, data, and statistical analysis experience
4. 3+ years of analytical experience
5. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
6. Creative and alert to new ways of approaching tasks
7. Strong analytical skills
8. Ability to collaborate with groups and teams to get desired results
9. Proven verbal and written communication skills required

Typical Duties

1. Assist with the maintenance of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting functions
2. Gather Retail Operations data from multiple databases, platforms, stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to complete analyze
3. Transform large data sets through data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling
4. Leverage Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to build and maintain custom reports and dashboards to reveal trends and correlations in large data sets
5. Implement row-level security in the Power BI (and other data visualization tools) to enable secured viewing of the reports for designated job levels and locations
6. Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and improve processes
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the data needs to execute department and enterprise-wide strategic objectives and initiatives
8. Identify and communicate any data-related issues and recommendations to the business owner, manager, and the team
9. Provide data insights and solutions to leaders to drive decision-making
10. Travel less than 25% to Kroger General Office in Cincinnati, OH and local stores
11. Remote Work : No
