RETAIL OPERATIONS UAE
The job holder is accountable to oversee the day to day performance and operation of several stations (EPPCO/ENOC), reporting directly to the area manager.Through close supervision of the site in-charge the job holder is responsible to set, monitor and achieve the goals and targets both financial and performance standards and report the same on a daily/weekly as required by the area manager.
Financial and controls
• Understand and manage the annual targets and budgets approved by the Area Manager in his assigned sales area.
• Review the targets and budgets against actual and track the performance of the site/s on monthly basis.
• Review and present the site/s CTO/OPEX (contribution to overheads) and analyse and justify monthly to the Area Manager
• Conduct detailed analysis on monthly basis of sales fuel by reviewing the volume reported in COGNOS Vs TURPAK, highlight the concerns and report the findings to Retail Area Manager.
• Responsible to monitor all pending statements in Dynamic, coordinate with IT and Finance to achieve month end closing.
• Carrying out inventory spot checks of cards, cash and high value items in stock. Handle stock takes on a periodical basis and conducting investigations as required for overage or shortage and providing explanations for the same.
• Monitoring tank-dip reconciliations for the site/s on a regular Monthly basis.
• Reviewing float cash by site/s volume and requirement. Any additional requirement must be agreed, set and approved by the area manager.
• Review, control and approve the petty cash expenses at the site prior to am approval.
• Review, control and approve the overtime of the site staff entered by the site prior to AM approval
• Review and enter the In charges OT/acting allowances overtime prior to AM approval.
• Develop and implement performance target projection in the next budget period
• Conduct periodical IMS/HACCP internal audits to retail outlets
• Propose cost saving initiatives and monitor the results in the monthly OPEX reports.
• Conduct area development analysis on monthly basis and present the findings with recommendations – Area competitors mapping
• Monitor and manage staff monthly incentives programs
• Fully responsible for the opening of NTI (opening/closing) within the established timeframes under the direct supervisor of the Area Manager.
Staff Administration
• Ensure that staff attendance, annual leave, sick leave and emergency leave are monitored and managed in line with site/s requirement.
• Approve/ confirm leave for all staff of the c-store, forecourt. (Shift In Charge and CSA) site in-charge approvals to be done in coordination with the area manager.
• Manage staff transfers as per business requirement within the assigned field.
• Ensure that all employees are issued with ID cards, valid visas and health and ATM cards in line with the country’s/company requirements
• Staff documents collection and submission - passports
• Manage and develop staff by coaching, counselling, guiding and conduct regular staff meeting.
Materials & Supplies
• Manage site/s rechargeable material and ensure that all supplies are issued in line with company standards.
• Ensure that all store/site/s receive materials and supplies for sale and maintenance
• Ensure that all materials and supplies are ordered and received in time.
• Review the site purchase orders and approve the orders in the system.
Maintenance of assets
• Ensure that all maintenance calls are made and all equipment is in proper working condition.
• All maintenance calls are followed up and jobs completed and signed off.
• Coordinate directly with Retail Maintenance on solving any pending issues within the assigned area.
Bachelor’s degree holder (Business administration, Marketing or Finance) with minimum of 6-7 years working experience in similar field
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven management and interpersonal ability (hands on retail experience managing a retail outlet and staff)
• Ability to motivate individuals by participating with them in their daily routine.
• Demonstrate the ability to lead by example in managing a station and handling staff etc.
• High level of personal presentation
• Strong customer service focus
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with profit and loss reporting experience.
• A good understanding of budgets and sales targets
• Superior pc skills and site system knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time management ability.
