Job Description - IGCSE PHYSICS TEACHER

  • Teaching and Instruction:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective physics lessons in accordance with the IGCSE curriculum.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress regularly through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Curriculum Development:
  • Contribute to the development and revision of the physics curriculum to ensure it meets the standards and requirements of the IGCSE framework.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and projects.
  • Student Support and Development:
  • Provide individual support and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Identify and address the learning needs of students, offering extra help and enrichment as needed.
  • Prepare students for the IGCSE physics examinations, including organizing revision sessions and mock exams.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Establish and maintain a disciplined and productive classroom environment.
  • Enforce school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
  • Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively.
  • Professional Development:
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices and developments in physics education.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events as required.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support school initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the school.
