Technical Manager (UAE)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review NOC/IOC/EPC customer enquiry specifications and provide concise breakdown to sales and store in the relevant enquiry folder in the server.
2. Review all OEM specs and provide technical guidance and associated costs to sales dept
3. Provide costs and breakdown for testing and inspection enquiries
4. Assist with reviewing price agreements and supporting with technical guidance and substitutions where appropriate and highlighting technical restraints.
5. Develop special parts manufacturing and testing costs and keep a live record/database for each account including OEM's such as Cameron, GE, FMC, Flowserve, Dresser etc
6. Review and provide costs and manufacturing processes for special machined parts/non-standards to sales
7. Create and prepare technical training data as required - API 6A, NACE, API 20E BSL-1/2/3, PSL-1/2/3, updated international ASTM/DIN/ASME standards plus others.
8. Guide and manage the Gaskets Technical Sales Support Specialist
9. Develop product data sheets for bolting, gaskets, PTFE and others as required.
10. Interact with customers when necessary to provide guidance and education on products/specifications/materials.
11. Provide in-house training sessions to new recruits, sales staff and other TME staff as required.
12. Work with sales team to make decision for conditionally accepted items as substitutions when necessary
13. Provide a monthly report on activity, # of enquiries reviewed, # of conditionally accepted plus others
14. Ensure house keeping / 5S is sustained and kept to a high standard.
15. Support and compliance to ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, and other QMS requirements towards achievement of our Quality Policy, Mission and Vision Statements, and (department) Quality Objectives
16. Responsible and accountable for the HSE performance within the department
17. Implement the HSE Policy in the department and ensure procedures are in place including the achievement of department's Objectives and promotion of HSE Programs;
18. Instill, by action, training and consultation, a positive HSE culture among all departmental staff.
