Job Description - Technical Sales Manager

Recruitment Associate at Simpson Booth Limited | HRM Degree

Responsible for day-to-day management of sales, building customer relationship and sales/business development activities for various divisions of Company Group Key Performance Indicators (2024)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for respective LoB and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Uphold sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage customer relationship management and increase customer satisfaction levels.
  • Spot market opportunities for new customers.
  • Network with Senior Management to generate new business for the company.
  • Act as spokesperson and figurehead to promote Company Systems’ s capability.
  • Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
  • Submit monthly reports on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Manage strategic and day-to-day management of customers.
  • Suggest business improvements and achieve aggressive targets.
  • Participate in proposal generation.
  • Consult/investigate business opportunities with a range of customer contacts.
  • QHSSE Activities
  • Adhere to Company System’s integrated Management system and when on site, client’s Quality Management System
  • Comply with Company Group’s QHSE Management System.
  • Promote a positive QHSE culture in the workplace

Job Qualification

  • Academic Qualification
  • Any Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Mechanical,Electronic & Communication, Instrumentation & Communication.
  • Technical/Professional knowledge and skills
  • Strong understanding of technical aspects related to lifting equipment, inspection methodologies, and mooring systems.
  • Possess good Customer Service & Communication skills
  • Conversant with MS office tools like M.S Word, M.S Excel, and M.S Power point, ERP System etc.
  • A highly motivated and dynamic individual.
  • Capable of interacting with different cultures and be able to travel extensively throughout the region
