Job Description - Data Analyst

Overview Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Warehousing and Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining data warehousing solutions and creating insightful visualizations using Power BI. This role requires proficiency in database management systems, ETL processes, data modeling, and data visualization techniques. Responsibilities Data Warehouse Development:
Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions on Microsoft Fabric to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
Implement efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Optimize data warehouse performance and ensure data integrity and reliability.
Data Modeling
Develop and maintain dimensional and relational data models to facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis.
Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
Power BI Development
Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
Implement advanced features of Power BI, such as DAX expressions, custom visuals, and data-driven alerts.
Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback and refine dashboards to meet evolving business needs.
Data Analysis And Optimization
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decision-making.
Perform query optimization and tuning to improve the performance of data retrieval processes.
Implement data quality and consistency checks to ensure the accuracy of reports and analyses.
Documentation And Training
Document data warehouse design, data flows, and data models for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Provide training and support to end-users on accessing and interpreting reports and dashboards.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data warehousing, business intelligence, and visualization technologies.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data-related processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and Power BI.
Proficiency in SQL programming and experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema).
Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes using tools like SSIS, Informatica, or Talend.
Expertise in developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, including DAX expressions and data visualization best practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Certification in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies.
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Amazon Redshift).
Experience with data governance and data security best practices.
