Job Description



Job Purpose:



The Global Quality (Assurance) Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS) for DP World globally, with a specific focus on health logistics. This role involves rolling out the QMS into different regions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving global GXP standardization, mitigating risks associated with the movement of health products, and ensuring global compliance with quality management and accreditation standards.

Key Accountabilities:



Implement Quality Management System (QMS):
Establish and maintain high standards of quality, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation globally in accordance with internationally recognized standards (GXP compliance).
Develop procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and risk control in the supply chain of health and pharmaceutical products.
Lead and Standardize Regional Quality Management:
Lead regional quality managers in the standardisation and implementation of quality management practices.
Perform quality inspections, audits, and prepare reports required for health logistics globally across all capabilities.
Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other relevant standards.
Manage global regulatory requirements and liaise with Ministries of Health across all regions.
Support and Evaluate Suppliers:
Conduct periodical operational internal audits and quality inspections for suppliers.
Evaluate and develop techniques for controlling quality, reliability, and safety in healthcare logistics.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and provide training to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Develop and deliver effective communications to ensure awareness and knowledge of quality assurance standards, GXP requirements, program updates, and process changes.
Disaster Recovery and Incident Resolution:
Implement disaster recovery plans in association with Global Health and Safety.
Lead quality or regulatory incident resolution activities for products and operating practices.
KPI Monitoring and Improvement:
Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for inbound receiving time, outbound processing time, warehouse utilization, stock loss, and picking accuracy.
Organize and promote company-wide quality improvement efforts related to healthcare logistics.
Liaison and Representation:
Act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to quality management in healthcare logistics.
Represent the company in authority inspections and client audits.
Daily Responsibilities
Implementing, maintaining, and improving the Global Quality Management System (QMS). Initiate and support process optimization initiatives and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Act as internal and external expert for GMP and GDP-related topics. Conduct and follow-up on physical audits of external manufacturing sites, warehouses/depots, and transporters according to GMP/GDP requirements. Qualify and re-qualify external service providers, customers, and suppliers for GMP/GDP-related services. Conduct internal audits (self-inspections) to ensure compliance with GMP/GDP and internal quality standards. Conduct internal cross-functional training and develop quality agreements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:



University degree in natural sciences (BSc., BPharm.). Minimum 12 years of working experience in QA, GXP, GDP on a global level within the pharmaceutical logistics industry. Professional with quality management and regulatory experience in pharmaceutical sector with Warehousing, Distribution, Freight Forwarding and Global Logistics experience. Preferably previous experience in the QP/RP role in a supply chain and/or pharmaceutical organization. Regulations and quality controls regarding global storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products. Various Ministries of Health regulations and requirements. ISO accreditation, TAPA certification, and quality management systems. Extensive knowledge of GXP, GMP, and GDP requirements. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Sensitivity toward cultural diversity and an ability to work across various regions of the world. Effective interpersonal communication style particularly with Board members, executives, and senior level staff Attention to detail is a must as well as superior organizational skills.
