WSP Middle East are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our Building Services team within the Property and Building Business Unit in Sharjah, UAE. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and insights into the field of building services engineering. You will be working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to a variety of projects that focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of building system. Your new role, what's involved

• Support the team in designing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Participate in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct research and gather data as required for project planning and execution.
• Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Attend project meetings and assist in the documentation of meeting notes and action items.
• Participate in site visits to observe and report on the progress of ongoing projects.
• Assist in conducting site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Help prepare technical reports, presentations, and other documentation required for project approvals and client meetings.
• Maintain organized project files and records.
• Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of building services engineering.
• Take advantage of training sessions and workshops provided by WSP.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of building systems and construction processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
