About the Role
This internship will be for a fixed period of 6 months within the various teams with BDO UAE. The intern will be assigned to one of the following projects, with the opportunity to effectively collaborate and support senior associates and stakeholders.
Your opportunity
Support engagement teams in completing assigned tasks and coordinate with seniors to understand engagement requirements and deadlines.
Provide regular updates on the status of assigned tasks and escalate issues when necessary.
Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail in all assigned work.
Respond promptly and accurately to requests and queries from team members and supervisors.
Assist in preparing and organizing working papers and documentation, ensuring proper communication and handovers to seniors.
Actively participate in team discussions, contribute ideas, and consider feedback from team members.
Demonstrate a learning mindset, curiosity, and openness to feedback to continuously improve performance.
Take ownership of personal development, seek guidance when needed, and build confidence in working with peers and senior team members.
Foster positive working relationships by collaborating effectively and treating colleagues with professionalism and respect.
Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
Highly refined planning, leadership, relationship building and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills - with positive & enthusiastic attitude.
Strong attention to detail and an analytical mind
Key Qualifications
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and be pursuing or planning to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA).
Proficiency in Arabic (mandatory).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is an advantage
