Nurse - Intern

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Intern to join our healthcare team. This internship offers hands-on experience in patient care and hospital procedures under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. It is an excellent opportunity for nursing students or recent graduates to apply academic knowledge in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) in providing patient care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
• Help with daily patient activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Prepare and organize medical supplies and equipment.
• Observe and document patient conditions and behaviors.
• Assist in administering medications under supervision (as per policy and scope).
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the patient care areas.
• Follow hospital protocols, patient confidentiality, and infection control standards.
• Participate in educational sessions and on-the-job training.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Nursing Program (Diploma/BSN).
• Basic understanding of nursing principles and patient care.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong sense of empathy, responsibility, and teamwork.
