About the Role
We are looking for a smart, organized, and detail-oriented Product Operations Intern to help us build and maintain a comprehensive product knowledge base for our software platform. The knowledge base is maintained in GitHub and used across Product, Engineering, QA, and other teams for requirements, technical planning, Jira execution, product discovery, reporting, and decision-making.
The initial focus of the role will be documenting the current production platform from the ground up. You will systematically review modules, screens, workflows, forms, fields, permissions, validations, actions, and system behavior, then convert your findings into clear, structured documentation.
This role is suited to someone interested in how software products work and who wants to develop toward product operations, business analysis, QA, systems analysis, or product management.
Responsibilities
- Review the platform module by module and screen by screen.
- Document workflows, forms, fields, defaults, validations, permissions, actions, tables, filters, statuses, and edge cases.
- Identify differences between expected behavior, observed behavior, known defects, and future enhancements.
- Ask Product, Engineering, QA, and Operations teams for clarification when behavior is unclear.
- Organize findings into structured Markdown documentation following established templates and repository conventions.
- Maintain an inventory of documented and undocumented product areas.
- Support the ongoing accuracy and completeness of the product knowledge base.
- Help translate confirmed product requirements into clear Jira work items.
- Review existing documentation and flag outdated, conflicting, or incomplete information.
- Assist with product research, requirements gathering, process mapping, and other Product Operations activities as the role develops.
