Accountant

Job Description:

CST Brands is seeking a part-time Accountant to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As an Associate Level Accountant with at least 3 years of experience, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports 2. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded 3. Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of financial performance 4. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions 5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and resolve any discrepancies 6. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings 7. Support the audit process and provide documentation as needed 8. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets 9. Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices 10. Drive process improvements and streamline financial reporting procedures

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 2. CPA or ACCA certification is a plus 3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance 4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 7. Independent and dedicated with a strong attention to detail 8. Ability to negotiate and cooperate effectively with team members 9. Experience in the retail industry is a plus
