Randstad Education is working alongside dedicated SEN schools in Knowsley to recruit an Learning Assistant to support pupils one-to-one. This full-time, term-time role has the potential to become permanent for the right applicant.

About the Role:

As an Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored support for learners with diverse additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, and Profound Learning Disabilities.

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
  
  
• A minimum of 6 months experience working with children in UK schools.
  
  
• Previous work with SEN pupils is preferred.
  
  
• Available for full-time, long-term work.
  
  
• Able to work 5 days per week during term time.
  
  
• Two valid professional references.
  
  
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
  
  

Main Duties:

• Offer consistent, individualised assistance throughout the school day.
  
  
• Promote student engagement and emotional wellbeing.
  
  
• Work closely with class teachers and support staff.
  
  
• Follow P Scales or EHCP-led targets in learning sessions.
  
  
• Support children with needs such as MLD, PMLD, and Autism.
  
  
• Maintain professionalism and dedication at all times.
