1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Northampton. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a child within the primary setting, helping them to access learning, develop socially and emotionally, and thrive in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide tailored 1:1 support to a specific child, adapting resources and activities to meet their individual needs.
-Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support plans.
-Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment to support the child's learning and well-being.
-Support the child with transitions, routines, and social interactions throughout the school day.
-Build strong relationships with parents/carers and external professionals to ensure consistency of support.

About You:
-Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting.
-A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting individual needs.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
-A good understanding of safeguarding, SEND, and inclusive education.
-Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential if you have strong experience.
