1:1 Teaching Assistant - WA4 Primary School (Warrington)
Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in the WA4 area of Warrington, who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This is a full-time, long-term position supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The child has experienced previous trauma, so we are looking for someone who can provide a consistent, supportive and nurturing approach to help them succeed in school.

The role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN and SEMH needs

• Implementing strategies to support learning, social skills and emotional regulation

• Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to follow tailored support plans

• Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress

About you:

• Strong behaviour management skills are essential

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEMH difficulties

• Patient, resilient, and able to provide a calm, supportive presence

• No formal qualifications required - what matters most is your experience and commitment
