111 crisis nurse

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Band 6 Crisis Nurses to join our team at the CNTW NHS Trust in Sunderland. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing mental health crises.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

providing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing care plans, conducting phone triage (ideal, but not essential), and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Experience managing crisis situations is essential.

You will work within a variety of shift patterns including long days, nights, earlies, lates, and twilights. While flexibility is appreciated, consistent long day shifts may not be feasible due to the demanding nature of the role.

The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrable track record in crisis intervention, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Social workers or occupational therapists are also encouraged to apply.

A current DBS check on the update service is required.

Mandatory practical training and immunizations (BCG, Hep-B, MMR) are essential for full-time positions.

We offer competitive pay rates: Day shifts £30.00, Night/Saturday shifts £38.00, and Sunday/Bank Holiday shifts £48.00. We are open to both full-time and part-time applications for 6+ month contracts. The position is based at Hopewood Park; there is no option for home working.
