Newstaff Employment Services recruiting on behalf of our client based in Luton for a 7.5T driver to join the team. Our Client is extremely busy with a contract supplying Plumbing Supplies and Solar Panel to construction companies in the home counties.

Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Driver

Location: Luton, United Kingdom

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Traffic Depending

Job Description: We are seeking a dependable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Luton. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to various destinations. Your primary responsibility will be to operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.

2. Goods Transportation: Load, transport, and unload goods to and from designated locations.

3. Route Planning: Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

4. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine vehicle checks, report any issues, and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any required paperwork.

6. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, ensuring deliveries are made professionally and courteously.

7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including the safe handling and securing of cargo.

8. Time Management: Manage your workday efficiently to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driving license with Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) entitlement.
• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of Enfield and surrounding areas.
• Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
