Job Description - A Level Economics Lecturer

A-Level Economics Teacher (Full-Time, Temporary)
Location: Stepney Green
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (August – December, 35 hours per week)
Potential for Extension

Purpose of the Job:

To deliver high-quality teaching in A-Level Economics.
To teach additional related subjects, if suitably qualified, within the College.
To collaborate effectively with colleagues and Senior Curriculum Managers as part of a cohesive academic team.
To engage in ongoing professional development relevant to the teaching role and subject specialism.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective lessons in A-Level Economics.
Prepare, deliver, and assess learning in accordance with the subject awarding body’s requirements.
Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental planning.
Support the wider work of the College through participation in meetings, development days, and collaborative initiatives.

Person Specification:Essential:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Economics.
A recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching A-Level Economics (or strong potential to do so).

Desirable:

Ability to teach an additional subject relevant to the College's curriculum.
Familiarity with current A-Level specifications and assessment criteria.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Contract Positions
