About the Role:
Milk Education are seeking a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in L25 to provide 1:1 academic support for a child in Year 6. This is a rewarding role ideal for someone passionate about helping pupils reach their full potential as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 academic support in class, focusing on English and Maths

• Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions

• Adapt learning tasks to meet the pupil’s individual needs and promote independence

• Support emotional wellbeing and build a trusting, positive working relationship

• Track progress and contribute to planning and review meetings as required

• Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and focused classroom environment

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has experience supporting children in KS2, ideally in a 1:1 or small-group capacity

• Is patient, reliable, and supportive, with a nurturing approach to behaviour and learning

• Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff and families

• Understands the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional conduct

• Is committed to helping every child succeed, both academically and emotionally
