An 'Outstanding' Secondary School in Ealing is seeking an outgoing and dedicate Academic Tutor - Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025. This role involves supporting students in and out of the classroom daily, providing academic support in all core and non-core subjects throughout KS3, KS4 and KS5.

The Head Teacher and team of experienced Teachers aim to shape students into highly knowledgeable, compassionate and balanced individuals, focusing on delivering exceptional education from Year 7 to Year 13. They are keen to meet graduates with strong academics across the board and a keen interest in working with young people.

You will be supporting students during lessons and in intervention groups, targeting challenging subject areas to prompt academic excellence. There are plenty of CPD opportunities throughout and the opportunity to undertake Salaried Teacher Training in future - this is the ideal opportunity for candidates looking to pursue a Teaching career in their chosen speciality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Academic Tutor - Teaching Assistant
• Working with students aged 11-18 years in lessons and intervention groups, including those with SEND/SEMH needs (ASD, ADHD and more)
• Targeting academic progress through 1:1 sessions
• Assisting Class Teachers to deliver lesson material and work through practice questions
• Opportunities for Teacher Training further down the line

ROLE DETAILS

• Based in the Borough of Ealing
• Monday - Friday, Term-Time Only
• Long-Term, Full-Time - 8.30am-4pm
• September 2025 Start
• £105 - £115 per day

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Must have a degree and strong academics across the board (A-Levels and GCSEs)
• A keen interest in supporting students to excel academically and develop on a personal level
• Experience working with children and young people in an academic capacity
• Sufficient understanding of SEND/SEMH needs - experience is desirable
