Account Director Maternity Cover

We’re hiring for a Account Director (Maternity Cover) to join a leading integrated marketing agency for a mat cover contract contract. This is a senior client services role where you’ll lead strategic partnerships with global pharma and medtech clients. You’ll manage a talented team and deliver campaigns that make a real-world difference in healthcare.

What you’ll be doing
As the Account Director, you’ll take ownership of key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic lead. You’ll oversee the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, video, and experiential channels.

You’ll work closely with internal teams - creative, strategy, digital, and project management, to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to brief. You’ll lead client meetings, present campaign strategies, and ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards in the healthcare space.

You’ll also mentor and support account managers and executives, helping them grow while ensuring high standards across all client work. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with plenty of variety and responsibility.

What experience you’ll need to apply

• Proven experience as an Account Director or Senior Account Manager in a marketing agency.
• Strong background in pharma, medtech, or healthcare communications.
• Deep understanding of integrated marketing and campaign delivery.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Confident presenting ideas and strategies to senior clients.
• Knowledge of ABPI and healthcare compliance frameworks.
• A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
