Accountancy Lecturer

Reed Further Education are working with a college that are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Lecturer for short-term sick cover. This role involves delivering and assessing further education Accounting and Finance programmes, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting students across various learning environments. They need the person on a temporary ongoing basis and need them for a minimum of 1 month. The start date would be as soon as possible, so an enhanced DBS on update service is required.

Job Title: AAT/Accountancy Lecturer
Position: Part-Time - 14 hours a week - timetable to be confirmed
Role type: Temporary Ongoing - minimum 1 month.
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Rate: £28p/h to £38p/h including holiday pay

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Finance and Accounting to students at levels 1-4 AAT and potentially level 7 ACCA.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Develop and update curriculum materials and lesson plans in collaboration with other faculty members.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Deliver both in-person and online instruction as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Business Studies, or a related field.
• Experience in teaching Finance and Accounting at further education levels.
• Strong understanding of AAT qualifications; ACCA knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Teaching qualification is ideal but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on update service.
