Interim Accountant - Manchester City Centre - 6 Month+ Contract

We're partnering with a leading organisation in Manchester City Centre to appoint an experienced Interim Accountant. This role is a vital part of the finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and intercompany integrity. Reporting into the Director of Statutory Reporting, you'll work closely with senior stakeholders across finance and compliance.

Key Duties:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial board packs and group reporting submissions.

• Process and review IFRS-based month-end journals across multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and full audit trail.

• Support both external audit processes and quarterly group reviews.

• Work alongside the Director of Regulatory Reporting and Compliance teams to meet all statutory and regulatory filing deadlines.

• Take ownership of intercompany reconciliation processes and settlements, maintaining robust controls.

• Operate effectively within a strong internal controls framework, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Support internal audit activities and take part in wider team knowledge-sharing and ad hoc finance projects.

This is a hands-on assignment ideal for an accountant with strong technical reporting skills and a background in group finance or statutory accounting.
