Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Plymouth for an Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis. The role is required to cover gaps in the current team and provide support across the department.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide financial advice to clients, senior finance colleagues, departmental management teams and elected members
• Support service planning especially with regard to financial systems development and working practices
• Deliver minimum statutory finance services, consolidate and ensure continuous improvement, regarding the financial management, financial standing, financial reporting and internal control
• Contribute towards the production of management and statutory accounts

CandidateCriteria

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
• Experience in Local Authority Finance is highly desirable
• Experience of providing financial advice to senior members and stakeholders
• Experience of contributing towards production of management and statutory accounts
• Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
