Accountant - 6 month contract

A fast paced SME based in Cosham is seeking a detail driven Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6 month contract to support them through a period of growth and increased reporting requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and accounts production — someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts across multiple entities
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Assist in the production of financial statements and statutory accounts
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy and compliance

Key requirements:

• QBE or part-qualified accountant
• Proven experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Available to start at short notice
