Accounting & Payments Analyst

Sterling Williams are currently working alongside a City based Investment house who are looking to hire a candidates who can support their Payments functions. This role is likely to start on a FTC although permanent candidates can and still will be considered.

Accounting and Payments Analyst
City of London based with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Salary circa £40 - 45,000 pa plus benefits.

The purpose of the role is to work closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders in relation to commission payments and execute these on a monthly basis - this will require strong attention to detail. You will prepare compensation reports for the partners and deal with issues, discrepancies and reconciliations if needed, whilst maintaining strong adherance to SLAs and deadlines.

The successful candidate will likely have:

• An accounting and finance background from within the financial services - banking, asset management, wealth management etc - candidates without Financial Services industry experience will unfortunately not be considered.
• Solid understanding of how investment and wealth management operates in the UK alongside third parties and partners.
• Excellent Excel skills (e.g., Vlookups, pivot tables) and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Studying an accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) would be a preference, but is not essential
• Numerical, with strong attention to detail.
