Accounts Assistant

Reed Accountancy are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team for a three-month period. This role involves assisting with day-to-day processes to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with the Management Accountant and reporting to the Financial Controller during a critical transition period.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

• Support Accounts Assistants with invoice processing and bank entries, including daily reconciliation of bank statements.
• Prepare and set up supplier payments for authorisation
• Process invoices
• Assist in preparing accruals, prepayments, and other journals for the production of a Trial Balance.
• Support monthly VAT returns and the production of ad-hoc financial information as required.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures, health and safety regulations, and maintain office orderliness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in an Accounts environment.
• Ability to deliver results accurately and on time, with effective communication across departments.
