Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a background in construction? We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join a dynamic team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function across a wide range of accounting tasks.

• Process supplier invoices using Sage 200
• Manage the Purchase Ledger and Accounts mailboxes, responding to queries promptly
• Support sales documentation and ensure compliance with FSC/PEFC legislation
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships
• Assist with CIS returns and compliance
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany invoices
• Support journal preparation and BACS payment runs
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate records
• Provide general administrative support and team cover as needed

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance role
• Background in the construction industry
• Knowledge of CIS and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Experience with Sage 200 or Sage 50
• AAT Level 2 qualification
• Broader knowledge of construction finance practices
