Accounts Assistant - Immediate Start

Are you immediately available and looking for your next finance opportunity? We're working with a friendly, well-established SME in South Coventry who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team to cover a maternity leave.

This is a varied, hands-on role supporting both the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. The business offers a welcoming team environment, hybrid working, and the chance to take real ownership of your work.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the full credit control cycle, including issuing reminder letters, making follow-up calls, and escalating to legal via the Finance Manager where needed
• Supporting the monthly cash flow cycle and producing related cash flow reports
• Processing supplier invoices and staff expenses
• Matching delivery notes and resolving any invoice discrepancies
• Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations and handling any queries
• General finance administration to support the wider team

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar all-round finance or accounts assistant role
• Confident managing both Accounts Payable and Credit Control tasks
• Good Excel skills and a proactive approach to learning systems
• Experience with Sage 50 would be ideal, but it's not essential
• A team player who enjoys working in a smaller, close-knit environment
• Someone who's immediately available or on short notice
