Accounts Payable Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable professional to join a thriving retail business based in Tamworth. This role has become available due to company growth and an increased workload, making it a fantastic time to join a fast-paced, evolving team where your contributions will truly make a difference.

You'll be stepping into a hybrid role that offers the chance to build on your Accounts Payable skills while working within a supportive, growth-focused environment. This is an immediate start role, so we are looking for someone available to begin as soon as possible!

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Completing supplier statement reconciliations to maintain accurate records.
• Handling and resolving supplier queries in a timely manner.
• Assisting with preparing payment runs.
• Maintaining up-to-date and organised Accounts Payable records.
• Collaborating with the wider finance team to improve processes where needed.
• Supporting the Accounts Payable function during busy periods.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

• Minimum of 12-18 months of Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong skills in invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, and query resolution.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail.
• Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
