Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Payable AssistantLocation: Bedford
Job Type: Full-time, 3-month contract with possibility to extend
Salary: Competitive

Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts-payable transactions accurately and timely.
Verify and reconcile invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
Assist in month-end closing activities.
Communicate with vendors and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Support the finance team with other accounting tasks as needed.

Requirements:
Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
