About the Role:
Adaptable Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established business based in Irlam who are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive finance team within a growing organisation.
The role will suit someone who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accurate financial processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post supplier invoices, ensuring they're matched with purchase orders and authorised appropriately
• Maintain and update records with accurate coding and filing of financial documents
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any queries relating to invoices
• Record customer receipts into the internal finance system and reconcile against bank statements and cashbook
• Ensure incoming payments are correctly allocated to customer accounts
• Support the wider finance team with month-end and year-end tasks
• Contribute to ongoing improvements within financial processes
• Carry out various finance admin duties as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role essential
• Comfortable working with high volumes of data and tight deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and confident using finance systems
• Able to work independently while being a proactive part of the wider team
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
