Accounts Payable Officer

A public sector organisation that helps deliverfunding schemes based in Manchester is seeking anexperienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team.Starting out as an 6 weeks temporary assignment
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a key role insupporting the end-to-end payments process. Reporting to the Accounts PayableSupervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Processingpurchase orders and supplier invoices
• Handlingstaff cash expenses and company credit card transactions
• Managingloan and grant payments
• Monitoringthe central accounts mailbox and resolving supplier queries
• Uploadingpayments via NatWest and Autopay systems
• Supportingad hoc finance tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed
You will have:

• Aminimum of 1 year's experience in a finance or accounting role
• Familiaritywith bank cash management systems
• Proficiencyin Microsoft 365 and accounting software such as NetSuite
• Strongattention to detail and time management skills
• Theability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellentinterpersonal and organisational skills
• Acommitment to confidentiality and equal opportunities in the workplace
