Accounts Payable - Temporary Position

Macildowie are working with this client based in Northampton (Swan Valley Business Park), seeking a Purchase Ledger Assistant for a permanent, office-based role (hybrid optional).

Salary: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Mainly office-based; some hybrid flexibility

About the Role

Join a busy finance team at a globally recognised appliance manufacturer. You will be responsible for:

• Managing the purchase ledger inbox, responding to supplier queries

• Processing supplier invoices, remittance requests, and PO stock invoices

• Distributing invoices for authorisation

• Posting all invoices accurately in JDE

• Setting up and executing payment runs

• Reconciling statements and conducting invoice posting checks

Ideal Candidate

You will have:

• Previous purchase ledger or finance assistant experience

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (JDE desirable)

• Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
