Accounts Receivable Assistant - 6 Month FTC

Macildowie are working with this client based in Desborough, Northamptonshire on a fantastic 6-month fixed-term contract opportunity for a Finance Administrator - Accounts Receivable Focus.

This role is being offered as a 6-month FTC to cover maternity leave, with the genuine potential to transition into a permanent position. The role offers hybrid working (up to 3 days from home) and a salary of £24,000 - £26,000.

The Role:

As a Finance Assistant, your focus will be on accounts receivable and credit control across an international customer base - particularly Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. You'll play a key part in maintaining aged debt performance, managing credit limits, and ensuring timely allocation of customer payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chasing aged debt, primarily via email, across global customers
• Processing and allocating payments against invoices
• Monitoring and reviewing customer credit limits, escalating risks where necessary
• Producing aged debt reports for the Finance Team Leader
• Supporting with month-end processes and reporting
• Covering wider transactional finance duties where required

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Previous experience in accounts receivable/credit control advantageous
• Someone who is looking to learn and develop, to be proactive to ask what other tasks and responsibilities they can support with
