Job Description - Accreditation Officer

Join Transport for London as an Accreditation Officer and play a pivotal role in enhancing educational journeys across London by promoting and supporting the delivery of the TfL Travel for Life Accreditation programme. This dynamic, hybrid role involves engaging directly with schools to foster relationships and support their journey to achieving gold accreditation.

Role Overview:

The holder of this role will be responsible for promoting and supporting the delivery of the TfL Travel for Life Accreditation programme in schools across London. The role will be hybrid and will involve some in-person school visits to support School Champions across all boroughs in London. The role holder will primarily be responsible for school engagement to support gold accreditation and retention. Working hrs - 7hr period between either 8:30am-4:30pm or 09:00 - 17:00pm Regular in-person requirement - this may be an event, team meeting, school visits (weekly) Availability for a full induction at the beginning of September

Key Information:

  • Rate: £156.76 per day
  • Location: Various London Boroughs (Hybrid)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours a week
  • Contract Duration: 6 months

Key Accountabilities:

  • Engaging with schools and boroughs throughout London
  • Responsible for achieving individual accreditation targets to support milestones and whole team targets
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with our borough partners
  • Supporting schools to upload activities, supporting evidence and surveys to support schools in achieving Gold Accreditation
  • Promoting, engaging and recruiting schools for webinars and events for schools in Greater London; promoting, facilitating and celebrating best practice
  • Processing and quality assurance of TfL Travel for Life applications.
  • Responsible for collating and preparing case studies of initiatives to share successes, identify successful strategies and promote best practice accreditation applications, comparing and assessing evidence against success criteria
  • Responsible for sharing communications and content promoting, enhancing and supporting the delivery of the TfL Travel for Life programme to schools and borough contacts; identifying and understanding the logistical needs of the audience and tailoring approaches and communication styles to suit
  • Responsible for maintaining and managing data for individual school cases, tracking school and borough progress toward TfL Travel for Life accreditation throughout the year. Responsible for reporting all data to the central team on a weekly basis
