Job Description - Ad Hoc HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver

Pertemps Exeter are recruiting HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers on an ad hoc basis to support our trusted clients across Exeter and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking flexibility, variety, and regular work with reputable local businesses.
The Role:

Driving Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) vehicles for palletised, general haulage, and multi-drop deliveries
Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods across the South West and beyond
Daily vehicle checks and accurate completion of paperwork
Communicating with transport teams and maintaining a professional attitude at all times

You Will Need:

A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) and/or Class 2 (C) HGV licence
CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 6 months commercial driving experience preferred
A flexible, reliable, and safety-conscious approach
Good geographical knowledge of Devon and surrounding counties

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rates: £14.00 – £18.00 per hour (PAYE)
Holiday pay, pension contributions, and weekly pay
Variety of clients and shifts to suit your availability
Support from a friendly and experienced transport team
