  • Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Hybrid)
  • Pay: £14 per hour
  • Location: Blackpool, FY1 3AH
  • Duration: 2-3 months
  • Working Hours: Mondays- Thursdays 9am till 5pm, Fridays 9am till 4:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated Administrative Coordinator to join the Home Finding Team at Blackpool Council. Main duties will be providing essential administrative, financial, and organisational services within children's social care. This role is crucial for someone who excels in managing diverse administrative tasks and possesses strong analytical skills.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the council within established frameworks.
  • Liaise effectively with internal staff, partners, and members of the public.
  • Manage word-processing tasks and operate advanced ICT packages including databases.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, take detailed notes, and process various forms and returns.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of administrative procedures and systems.
  • Maintain and update records systems, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding procedures.
  • Develop and maintain information systems.
  • Analyse data, evaluate it, and produce detailed ad hoc reports and information as required.
  • Handle correspondence, assist in the management and monitoring of financial processes and budgets, and organise diary arrangements for visits and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a Level 2 qualification (GCSE Grade A-C or Grades 4-9) or equivalent, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a social care or similar environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to use advanced ICT packages.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
