Job Description - Administrator

Job Title: Compliance Support Officer (Administrator Level 5)
Location: Edmonton Centre / Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: 21 July 2025
End Date: 10 October 2025 (with possible extension)
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised Compliance Support Officer to join Enfield Council's M&E Gas Team. This role provides vital administrative and compliance support across Technical Services and ensures that statutory checks and documentation are maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support compliance operations through data entry, document management, and coordination.

  • Review risk assessments and service records; raise and monitor required actions.

  • Upload and manage compliance documentation following naming conventions.

  • Liaise with contractors and landlords to obtain and validate certification.

  • Organise appointments with contractors and residents.

  • Prepare legal packs and issue access letters for statutory checks.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal systems and compliance processes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and automation efforts.

  • Escalate delays or issues to ensure timely resolution.

  • Support project teams and contribute to the delivery of compliance objectives.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Strong administrative experience, ideally in a housing or compliance environment

  • Good understanding of compliance documentation and processes

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload

  • Confident using IT systems and managing digital records

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to service delivery
