Are you an organised and proactive individual looking for a rewarding opportunity in public services? Our client is seeking a dedicated Administrator to join their team at the Devon and Cornwall Police headquarters in Middlemoor, Exeter. If you have a knack for administration and a passion for supporting teams, this role could be perfect for you!

About the Role:

As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in providing professional and confidential administrative support to various teams and units. Your responsibilities will include:

Process Management: Oversee and administer defined processes aligned with established standards.
Record Maintenance: Keep both paper and electronic record systems updated and accurate.
Database Management: Interrogate databases and present information in an accessible format.
Diary Management: Support senior management with diary management and other key administrative tasks.
Meeting Coordination: Organise meetings and events, including venue booking and action tracking.
Customer Service: Respond to inquiries with a customer-focused approach, showcasing your expertise.
Document Creation: Create and format documents and spreadsheets to meet high standards.
Office Duties: Handle general office tasks, including travel arrangements and equipment ordering.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Administration: Take ownership of specific administrative processes, ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and make necessary updates according to organisational policies.
Information Presentation: Gather and present information effectively using databases.
Meeting Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of meetings, capturing actions and following up as needed.
Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Office Support: Carry out essential office tasks to maintain smooth operations.

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Proven skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong ability to gather and present information effectively.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Experience working independently without close supervision.
Outstanding customer care skills, meeting and exceeding expectations.
A collaborative spirit, with experience in team environments.

Essential Criteria:

Due to police vetting criteria, candidates must have resided in the UK continuously for at least the past three years.
