Social Worker - Adolescent Safeguarding Team (Dudley)

Dudley Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adolescent Safeguarding Team. This is a challenging and rewarding role for a compassionate professional committed to protecting vulnerable adolescents.

About the Role:

• Conduct thorough assessments of adolescents at risk, identifying their needs and developing person-centered support plans.
• Undertake safeguarding investigations, working collaboratively with multi-agency partners (police, health professionals, education) to ensure effective interventions.
• Engage with adolescents and their families, building rapport and trust to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage a caseload effectively, prioritizing urgent cases and adhering to statutory timescales.
• Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment committed to best practice.
• Participate in regular supervision and contribute to service development.

Requirements:

• Registered with Social Care England.
• Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Experience working with adolescents and/or in safeguarding is highly desirable.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies relating to adolescent safeguarding.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
• Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
