Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £25 per hour umbrella – Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Adult Social Care Paralegal to join an excellent Public Sector Organisation in the Midlands. This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months, subject to likely possible extension, on a full-time basis.

This role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement with some office presence may be required on occasion.

Please note, candidates will only be considered if they have recent experience within Adult Social Care Law in either a Local Government or Private Practice setting.

Duties may include:

• Provide legal, clerical and administrative support to the Social Care team of Solicitors and Fee Earners
• Undertake a variety of Adult protection related activities under the designation of the Solicitors
• Case management, concerning court of protection and deprivation of liberty matters
• Day to day liaisons with Social Care teams, courts, external partners, private practitioners and other bodies
• Legal research using primary and secondary sources and presented findings and conclusions
• Collating evidence, preparing court applications and continuing the document management of court cases
• Administrative tasks such as preparing bundles, updating and delivering them to court and parties
• Direct contact with the legal fraternity including Judges, Barristers and Solicitors
• Attended remote hearings with Counsel as and when required

An hourly rate of up to £25 per hour Umbrella will be considered for this position dependent upon experience.
