AML Analyst - 6 Month FTC

Ryder Reid Legal is recruiting on behalf of our prestigious law firm client for an experienced AML Analyst to join their London-based Office on a 6 Month FTC. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and driven professional to contribute to the firm's global risk and compliance function in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

• Conduct client and matter due diligence checks.
• Investigate and assess control and ownership structures, including identifying ultimate beneficial owners.
• Perform risk assessments on new and existing clients and third-party payers.
• Conduct independent research using both internal and third-party databases (e.g. source of wealth, funds).
• Identify and mitigate high-risk factors (e.g. PEPs, sanctions, jurisdictional risk).
• Complete internal reporting to the MLRO.
• Handle CDD clearance for low-to-medium risk files with minimal supervision.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring and maintain updated AML records.
• Liaise with the billing team regarding client account and third-party payer queries.
• Respond to internal queries from LEAs, fee earners, and support teams.
• Work collaboratively across the AML team, the Office of General Counsel, and other departments.
• Participate in department-wide projects and assist with general AML compliance duties as required.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Minimum A-Level education (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years' AML experience within a law firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of AML regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and iManage.
