Anti Social Behaviour Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Anti Social Behaviour Officer on a minimum 6 month contract, covering the Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington regions. This is a hybrid role, with mileage reimbursement paid for travels from office to site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing ongoing cases of ASB and other tenancy breaches, where early intervention measures are failing and legal measures to enforce tenancy conditions are to be considered.

Your new role

• Proactively managing and responding to cases of ASB including hate crime, safeguarding and domestic abuse
• Carrying out interviews, preparing witness statements, liaising with legal teams and presenting evidence at Court where required
• Working alongside Neighbourhood Officers to provide case advice and support, ensuring a consistent approach to ASB and tenancy breaches
• Preparing and serving legal documents including Notices
• Making referrals to external support agencies where necessary including mediation services
• Developing and maintaining links within the community to ensure the group's approach to anti-social behaviour is understood
• Ensuring witnesses are provided with full support throughout any investigations, preparing them for attending and presenting evidence at court

What you'll need to succeed

• Good level of experience in an ASB Management/Tenancy Enforcement role within social housing, with a good knowledge and understanding of legal frameworks
• Experience of representing and giving evidence at court, taking witness statements, preparing and serving notices
• Strong understanding of housing and tenancy legislation and best practice
• Resilience, flexibility and adaptability
• Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
