AP, Payments and Procurement Consultant

Oliver James is searching on behalf of a client within the Insurance industry for a Payments & Procurement consultant to lead on a project within the Accounts Payable function, aimed at driving optimisation and efficiency through a range of initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be from an Accounts Payable, Procurement, or finance transformation background and a strong character able to help meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Oliver James is searching on behalf of a client within the Insurance industry for a Payments & Procurement consultant to lead on a project within the Accounts Payable function, aimed at driving optimisation and efficiency through a range of initiatives. The role will be Outside of IR35 with a rate depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will be from an Accounts Payable, Procurement, or finance transformation background and a strong character able to help meet deadlines and achieve goals. An ability to take a lead and use strong character skills to enact change will be required alongside an ability and willingness to be hands-on in the role as well.

Insurance experience is preferred, but wider financial services and services businesses will also be recognisably strong experience. You will be working with a range of stakeholders in the business including Accounts Payable, Wider Finance, IT and Legal teams.

Initiatives for the project include

- Centralising invoices and aiding to prioritise as well as understand business needs.

- Implement an already identified AI tool, working with external consultants to test and implement to BAU through training of team.

- Data cleanse

- Vendor management

- Others as required

Candidates will be required to work hybrid in office in London for the duration of this contract.
