Application Scientist

Location: North of England & Scotland (Home-based with travel across mainland UK)

• Provide on-site and remote support for system installations and upgrades
• Deliver comprehensive training to laboratory scientists
• Conduct troubleshooting and technical investigations
• Implement software modifications and perform product maintenance
• Offer workflow consultancy and system optimization
• Design and support system setup and configuration
• Participate in customer review meetings and feedback sessions
• Assist with tender responses, product demonstrations, and third-party liaison

• A background as a biomedical scientist or application support scientist
• Strong knowledge of medical diagnostics and laboratory best practices
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and deliver effective solutions
• Excellent analytical skills and comfort with scientific and numeric data
• A resilient, tenacious mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure
• A team player who can also work independently and manage time effectively
• Willingness to travel extensively across the North UK region (Scotland and North England)

• Experience in a hospital laboratory or with diagnostic solution providers
• Ability to plan and manage your own schedule and travel logistics
• Commitment to continuous learning and technical skill development
• Strong customer relationship-building skills to enhance the company’s global reputation

• Based in Scotland or willing to relocate
• Must have easy access to motorway links for UK-wide travel
