Art Teacher (Part-Time, Maternity Cover)

A specialist independent day school for neurodivergent pupils aged 7-19 is seeking a qualified and creative Art Teacher to cover maternity leave for one academic year.

Working within a small, highly supportive team, you'll deliver inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3-5 - including GCSE and A Level. You'll adapt teaching to meet individual needs, supporting each student's artistic growth in a neurodiversity-affirming environment.

Essential:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching Art at GCSE and A Level

• Confident delivering creative, adaptive lessons

• Experience in mainstream secondary education

• A supportive, flexible approach to meeting SEN needs

Desirable:

• Experience working with pupils with ASD, MLD and SEMH

• Familiarity with trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches

• Previous experience in a specialist or independent setting

• Interest in cross-curricular projects within the arts

• Small class sizes & high staff-to-student ratio

• Access to CPD in ASD, neurodiversity and inclusive education
